The appointment of a new Selangor deputy speaker will only be known during the state assembly sitting on Nov 24, said state speaker Hannah Yeoh.

Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali said he would slash his salary and those of his state executive councillors because he could not face the people being burdened with the high cost of living.

This, he said has impacted many lower-income earners.
