Man Stabs A Cyber Café Employee For Hogging A Computer To Play DotA
The incident took place in a cyber café at Taman Bukit Serdang.
A man in his 40s took matters into his own hands when he wasn't happy that an employee at a Cyber café did not let him play on a computer console. Together with his friend, the man assaulted the Cyber café employee with parang and a plank.
The incident began at about 10pm Saturday when the suspect got into an argument with the victim, an employee at the Taman Bukit Serdang cyber cafe, because the employee was reportedly hogging a computer he wanted to play on.
Serdang OCPD Asst Comm Razimi Ahmad said that the suspect was “unhappy” as the employee would not relinquish the computer, even though he had been on it for a “long time”.
“They had a war of words, the suspect left unsatisfied, and then came back at about 11.30pm with a friend,” he said.
They re-entered the cafe allegedly carrying a badminton racquet bag which contained a parang and a plank.
According ACP Razimi, the duo grabbed the victim, interrupting his reported game of DotA, and dragged him out of his chair. Then, both of them attacked the employee with the parang and plank that they brought.
The cafe management broke up the scuffle and told the men to take their dispute outside of the premise before closing up the crowded cafe.
The men reportedly continued their fight at a nearby restaurant, where police said the victim was then stabbed in the neck.
Witnesses claimed that about four friends of the victim came to his aid and slashed the suspect with his own parang before subduing his accomplice with the plank.
