The irresistible housing scheme sent Johoreans into a frenzy

It caused people to gather at Galleria@Kotaraya shopping mall from as early as 5 am. The huge crowd caused massive congestions on roads leading to the shopping mall.

People were so eager to register to apply for the "dream homes" under the ‘Rumah Impian Sultan Ibrahim’ project that they gathered at the venue a full 12 hours before, as the registration counters were only slated to open at 5 pm.

After registration was allowed to the public at 5 pm, some 195,000 people registered for the housing scheme in less than 2 hours
