It's official.

The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, today, 21 November, has consented to the formation of a coalition government between Barisan Nasional (BN) and Pakatan Harapan (PH) in the state.

Sultan Nazrin Shah will swear in Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad as the Perak Menteri Besar (MB) at 5.30pm, in Istana Iskandariah, Kuala Kangsar, according to a report in New Straits Times.

The Vibes reported that Saarani, who is from UMNO, has the majority support in the state assembly after PH and BN decided to come together, said Dewan Negara Perak member Tan Sri Mohd Annuar Zaini.

"Earlier, Abdul Aziz Bari from PH and Saarani from BN had an audience with the Sultan and both agreed to form a government, with nine BN assemblymen and 24 PH assemblymen. In total, they have 33 assemblymen who named their chosen candidate as menteri besar," said Annuar.
