A woman in Terengganu was recently stabbed to death during a robbery at her home

According to New Straits Times, the victim was 19-year-old Siti Nur Surya Ismail.

The incident took place around 9am on Sunday, 1 November at a house in Kampung Lubok Batu, Telemong.

During the robbery, Siti Nur Surya was taking care of her mother who was bedridden due to brain cancer

The victim's brother explained to Harian Metro that his sister was brutally murdered with stab wounds on her body and a severed wrist.

He said, "During the incident, only our mother was home. Our bedridden mother could only watch because she has brain cancer."

The victim's father, Ismail Muda, told Bernama that Siti Nur Surya was supposed to pick up her sister from school. However, when she did not show up, her 15-year-old sister walked home herself.

He said, "Usually, Siti Nur Surya would fetch her sister from school but today she did not do so and also did not answer the phone until my youngest child had to walk home. Upon reaching home, she called me to inform that her sister was lying in the living room, covered in blood."
