Telecom Malaysia Employee At Menara TM ONE In Damansara Tests Positive For COVID-19

Two employees of Telekom Malaysia (TM) have tested positive for COVID-19, the company said in a statement today, 11 October
Of the two TM employees, one is based at Menara TM ONE in Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, while the other is based at the company's Kepayan office in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
No details were provided as to when the two employees tested positive.
The two infected employees are currently under quarantine and receiving treatment at government quarantine and medical facilities, according to the statement that was carried by Bernama.
"TM management and staff are together praying for their speedy recovery," it said.
TM said that it has taken proactive measures to mitigate further spread of the virus and keep its customers, staff, and communities safe
All occupants at the Menara TM ONE were immediately evacuated, the company said.
The office building has now been closed for seven days to facilitate thorough disinfection and sanitisation in accordance to the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health (MoH).
Meanwhile, TM offices in Sabah, Kedah, and other Red Zone areas have also been closed much earlier as a proactive precaution in correspondence to the increasing cases recently.
Additionally, a detailed contact tracing is being carried out by MoH, assisted by TM's COVID-19 Crisis Response Team (CRT), to identify and inform those who had close contact with the infected employees.
"Identified close contacts are being contacted by MoH for further advice and action," it added.
Meanwhile, 561 new COVID-19 cases were recorded today, 11 October. Of which, 553 are local. Two more have died from the virus.
