A Retail Staff At The Bangsar Shopping Centre Has Now Tested Positive For COVID-19

The management said they will temporarily close BSC at 8pm tonight.

Retail staff at one of the stores in the Bangsar Shopping Centre (BSC) has tested positive for COVID-19, according to the BSC management

In a statement posted at 5pm today, 11 October, the BSC management said that they were informed earlier today about the positive case involving a staff at Origani, which is located on the ground floor.

"The said staff was on duty on Tuesday, 6 October, and at that time was not showing any symptoms. The staff has not been in BSC since," said the statement.

The management said they will temporarily close BSC at 8pm tonight

According to the statement, the high-tech indoor mall is being closed tonight to "undertake intensive sanitisation throughout the mall" so it can resume its normal operations tomorrow, 12 October.

"Origani has immediately closed its outlet and all staff are undergoing COVID-19 testing in full compliance with the Ministry of Health (MOH) guidelines," it added, assuring that BSC has "continuously adhered to all COVID-19 regulations, observing the necessary preventive and precautionary measures".
