[VIDEO] Loving Dad Gives The Most Heartwarming Reaction To Son's Report Card
Aria Shahrokhshahi placed a hidden camera in his kitchen and caught his father's emotional reaction to passing his General Certificate of Secondary Education test, screaming 'You're set for life, you're set for life!'
Aria Shahrokhshahi asked his father to come down and look at a paper from school
What follows has to go down as one of the most touching (and hilarious) displays of relief and pride ever captured on hidden surveillance and uploaded to the interwebs.
huffingtonpost.comThe British father was filmed screaming out loud and bursting into tears after finding out his teen boy had earned a C grade for his General Certificate of Secondary Education.
"You're set for life, you're set for life!" he tells the youngster, completely unaware his every move was being recorded.
The son explains on his YouTube page that in England, you need to pass maths "to basically do anything in life". A year earlier, he'd been sitting on an F, so you can understand Pop's relief.
goodmenproject.comAria’s father could barely contain his excitement, asking "Is that real? IS THAT REAL?!"
His dad stares at the note for several seconds, before saying, "Is that real?" and then bursts into tears of joy.
Proud pop, Farnoosh Shahrokhshahi, explained in a Today Show interview, his son was failing math but miraculously earned a C on the exam.
“To go from an F to a C is a huge jump,” the beaming dad told Today. “I was just overwhelmed, absolutely overwhelmed.”
theblaze.comNot even Aria thought he’d pass the test. When he got the news, he knew he had to share it with his father.
“He’s a very emotional guy, but I didn’t know he’d be that loud and that emotional,” Aria said. “It was all a bit crazy.”
The video warmed hearts across the world, and the father and son are still enjoying the good wishes from touched viewers
“Everyone is so nice and so kind,” Aria said. “Everyone is congratulating me. I’ve been getting tweets. Everyone is saying how much of a good father I’ve got.”
Farnoosh said he’s once again “overwhelmed” this time by the kindness and generosity of strangers.
“The vast majority of people are lovely,” Farnoosh said. “They appreciate love wherever they see it.”
nydailynews.comAria waited seven months before he posted the video online.
“It was a very important moment in my life,” he said. “I just didn’t know if it was appropriate, but I thought, ‘Why not share one of the happiest moments in my life with the world?’”
