A video showing strong weather shattering glass walls of the Etiqa Academy building on Jalan Melaka, Kuala Lumpur yesterday, 13 April, has gone viral on Twitter
In the nine-second video shared by Twitter user @jayyidkhairir, a few individuals can be seen entering the building, seemingly looking for a temporary shelter.
The video shows the storm outside is raging, while people in the building can be seen holding onto themselves in fear of the strong winds.
Suddenly, the glass walls that are protecting people in the building shatter
The breaking of the floor-to-ceiling glass walls come after a loud thud from outside the building.
People can be heard screaming in the video, while a few individuals can be seen running away from the shattered glass walls.
At the time of writing this story, the video has garnered over 14,200 retweets and 11,800 likes.
Fortunately, the Twitter user said no one was injured during the incident
In a reply to his own tweet, he said the video was taken by his wife's friend, while photos of the aftermath were taken by his wife.
"None of them got [injured]," he told SAYS, adding, "Only some of the broken glasses on their clothes."
In another reply posted today, 14 April, he said the management has resorted to temporarily covering the shattered glass walls with blinds.
