A photo of caretaker Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak "holding" two PKR flags has gone viral on social media

As the election campaign period intensifies over the next couple of days leading up to polling day on 9 May, it appears that someone has stuck two PKR flags on a Barisan Nasional poster featuring Najib.

The photo that has been circulating on social media depicts Najib, who is the leader of the ruling coalition, with the opposition flags, thus making him look like he was holding up the flags over his raised hands.

Pakatan Harapan (PH) component parties - PKR, DAP, Parti Amanah Negara and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) - have chosen to contest under a unified, single logo using the PKR banner in the 14th General Election (GE14).

The photo has elicited response from netizens, many of whom appeared to be tickled over the incident

Najib also jumped onto the bandwagon and made a remark about the incident on Twitter

"In a war, if your flag falls into the enemy's hands, it means (your enemy) has lost," Najib wrote on his official Twitter account yesterday, 1 May.

The post was a reply to a Twitter user who shared the photo and said that whoever came up with the idea should get an award for 'the best person to put up an election flag in 2018'.

Najib's response drew more reactions from netizens. Some have called him the "master of troll" and said that it was a good comeback...
