The incident took place at Jalan Tun Razak, Johor Baru on Tuesday night, 13 December.

According to media reports, the police had issued a summons to the 53-year-old unemployed woman for not obeying the traffic rules. She committed a variety of offences as she parked her gold Mercedes Benz at a double-lined lane, thus blocking the traffic and ignoring traffic signals.

It is learned that the police had flagged down her vehicle but she refused to cooperate, leaving the police with "no choice" but to issue a summons against her.

When she was asked to put down her signature on the summons, the woman instead scribbled the word 'babi'

"We believe that she did so with the intent of insulting and demeaning our officers," Johor Baru Selatan district police chief Assistant Commissioner Sulaiman Salleh was quoted as saying by NST.

According to Sulaiman, the police reprimanded the woman for her actions and she retaliated and said that her name was indeed 'babi'.

Following that, the police, with the help of a surveillance unit, arrested the woman and brought her in for further investigation

It was reported that the woman is being investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code for insulting the modesty of a person.

She is expected to be charged today, 15 December, under Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955. If convicted, she may face a fine up to RM100.

The woman's demeanour against the enforcement officer did not sit well with many people. Some even deemed that the punishment for the offences she committed should be harsher.
