You can now go out in pairs to shop for groceries and necessities or to seek medical services during this Movement Control Order (MCO)

The new condition will take effect from today until 12 May, according to a report by New Straits Times.

It is in accordance with the latest Federal Gazette on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures within Infected Local Areas) (No.4) Regulations 2020 signed by Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba.

It states that a person may be accompanied by one family member staying in the same house to buy necessities, as long as it is within a 10km radius from their homes

In addition, it states that individuals who are travelling to seek medical attention can also be accompanied by another person.

Anyone who breaks the regulation shall be liable to a maximum fine of RM1,000 or jail for up to six months, or both.
