16-year-old Muay Thai fighter, Muhammad Johan Ghazali Zulfikar, has done it again, defeating an opponent in a complete knockout at the ONE Championship in Thailand on Friday night, 26 May
The young Malaysian fighter landed a blow that sent his 24-year-old opponent, Tai Sor Jor Piek Uthai, a two-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion, to the ground and unable to recover, ending the bout instantly.
The crowd at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok went wild as Johan celebrated and rolled on the floor hugging his coach
The win also caught the attention of many Muay Thai fans online.
"16-year-old Johan Ghazali does it again! A one-hitter quitter sends Tai crashing to the canvas in the final round. Bright future ahead of the Malaysian fighter," commented a Twitter kickboxing fan account.
"Johan Ghazali refused to leave it to the judges! What's next for the 16-year-old striking prodigy?" also wrote the ONE Championship official Instagram account.

However, the teenager was undeterred by his opponent, nor was he bothered by the bleeding cut on his head. He caught his rival with the same left hook, right overhand combo that won him his first 16-second knockout in February.
"I was aware of the bleeding from the cut, I was mindful that the referee could halt the fight at any moment. With that in mind, I exerted every ounce of effort to secure a swift victory," he told the crowd after winning the fight on Friday.
He also paid tribute to his parents, thanking them for their unwavering support over the last six years, and extended his gratitude to his coach, Addy Singpayak, for always ensuring his training remained on track.
The young fighter was also awarded THB350,000 (RM46,000) as a bonus for the stellar performance
Johan said he is now aiming to win the championship belt and secure its prestigious USD100,000 (RM460,553) contract.
"My target is to get the ONE Championship contract of USD100,000, but my ultimate goal is to be a ONE Championship champion," he told Bernama.
"I feel that the ONE Championship belt is bound for me. I am the future," added the fighter from the Rentap Muay Thai Club in Kuching, Sarawak.
