National shuttler's dream to win gold in the Olympics were shattered tonight after he lost to China's Chen Long in Men's Singles finals. The game ended 18-21, 18-21.

In a match that saw Chen Long dominate from the word go, Lee Chong Wei got up to a shaky start as he lost both the set to Chen

The Chinese maestro, who broke down after winning the final set, displayed his fine form and kept piling pressure on Lee Chong Wei, whose restrained but determined play was no match to Chen's amazing defence and solid attacking.

And with this ends Malaysia's dream for gold

Although, Malaysians aren't letting this affect their love for the national shuttler, who even in losing gave Malaysia its 4th Olympic Silver Medal.

They have flooded the Twitter feed with messages of support and love for Lee Chong Wei for bringing Malaysians together once again.
