Faiz Subri Is In The Final 3 For A FIFA Award. Now He Needs Your Votes To Win It

He's already beaten Lionel Messi and Neymar.

Your votes have paid off! Mohd Faiz Subri, the Kedah-born footballer who was nominated for the FIFA Puskas award last month, has been shortlisted as one of the three finalists.

Faiz, who plays for the Malaysian Super League side Penang, scored the FIFA nomination for a physics-defying goal he executed with a swerving free kick at the Stadium Bandaraya, Penang in February.

The two other footballers in the final three are Marlone from Brazil and Daniuska Rodríguez from Venezuela.

In snagging one of the top spots, Faiz beat out footballers from all over the world, including football icons Lionel Messi and Neymar

While Faiz is definitely heading to Zurich, Switzerland for the awards ceremony, he still needs your votes to win the actual award!

Voting has commenced and will be open until 9 January, the day of the ceremony. The results will be announced later that day at the ceremony itself.
