But not for John Elmerson Fabriga because he has found a good friend in John David Pahayo. Both of them are divers who are representing the Philippines at the 2015 SEA Games.
Their friendship or bromance if you may, were put to the test when Elmerson messed up his fourth dive in the men's 3m springboard. Let's just say he made quite a splash!
The uncle at the side had to shield his face from getting wet...
Elmerson was obviously upset, but his buddy Pahayo came by and gave him a well deserved hi-5. Little did Elmerson know, Pahayo was gonna pull off something crazy...
In order to make his buddy feel better, Pahayo emulates his good friend by pulling off a near-exact dive!
Both of them scored a 0 for their attempts though, but it's ok because they scored a 100 in our books for the level of bromance between the two!
However, the two Johns could face possible punishments for their poor performance on the springboard
The duo, however, could be in trouble for their poor performances, with Philippine Sport Commission chairman Richie Garcia reportedly seeking an explanation from the country's aquatics chief Mark Joseph.
"I will give the opportunity for the Philippine Swimming Inc. president to explain because he fought for these divers to come here and compete," Garcia told Filipino website Inquirer.net. He also questioned if they did it on purpose.
