Local Badminton Player Lee Zii Jia Lights Up Neon Billboard In New York's Times Square
The 24-year-old athlete is the first badminton player in Malaysia to be featured in Times Square.

According to Lee's sponsor, Victor Malaysia, "The staging in Times Square signifies more than just the 55th anniversary of the brand; it is also intended to promote the sport of badminton worldwide."
Apart from Lee, other international badminton players such as Tai Tzu Ying from Taiwan, Anders Antonsen from Denmark, Apriyani Rahayu, Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, Hendra Setiawan and Mohammad Ahsan, all four from Indonesia, were also on display.
This makes Lee the first Malaysian badminton player to be featured on a Times Square billboard.
Lee has signed a seven-year deal with the brand worth RM12 million
Victor is known as one of the world's best badminton equipment and clothing manufacturers, offering a variety of badminton rackets, sport shoes, bags, and other accessories.
Locals are beaming with pride, praising the star athlete and the company for their achievements
Many left supporting comments on Victor Malaysia's Instagram post with one commenting, "I'm proud (of) this boy."
"Victor Malaysia can do (this) at Bukit Bintang," suggested another user.
Others believe that this is only the beginning and that there is more to come for the renowned sportsman.
