One of Malaysia's biggest pickleball tournaments is set to return this September

The PPA Tour Asia Kuala Lumpur Cup 2026 will run from 9 to 13 September at The Hood, Kuala Lumpur, bringing together players from across Asia for one of the key stops on the tour.

This year, the KL Cup is backed by Leapmotor, which is also supporting the Singapore Open happening earlier from 23 to 26 July.

This year, the Singapore Open is classified as a PPA Asia 500 event, while the Kuala Lumpur Cup sits at the higher PPA Asia 1000 level, making it one of the more significant tournaments on the calendar.

Both stops are expected to draw strong regional participation as pickleball continues to expand across Asia, especially in Malaysia and Singapore.

While competition remains the main focus, fans attending both events can expect additional on-ground activities and fan experiences throughout the tournament period

There will also be brand activations and interactive setups at the venues, adding to the overall atmosphere during match days.

Malaysia has been becoming one of the more active pickleball markets in Asia, with more tournaments, clubs, and casual players joining in over the past few years

Events like the KL Cup are becoming key fixtures on the calendar, attracting both competitive players and newcomers to the sport.
