Following successful launches in Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong in 2017, US laptop brand AVITA recently unveiled its new LIBER series range of laptops here.

"We are absolutely thrilled to launch our AVITA brand and the exciting range of AVITA LIBER here in Malaysia. This market is known to be one of the most prepared and open to embracing new lifestyle brands and latest technologies," said Alex Chung, CEO of Nextsgo Company (the company that owns AVITA).

The laptop comes in two display sizes of 13.3-inch and 14-inch with an FHD (1920x1080) resolution. You can expect the battery life to last for at least 10 hours, while a multi-functional USB-c port allows quick charging and prompt data transfer.

For the processor, you can opt for the base Intel Celeron CPU or a powerful eighth-generation Intel Core i7 CPU.

RAM starts at 4GB, while basic storage capacity starts at 128GB (expandable to 512GB).

There are two USB 3.0 ports available for connecting devices and accessories.

The laptop is pretty lightweight as well, with the 13.3-inch weighing at 1.37kg while the 14-inch weights at 1.49kg.

The biggest appeal of the LIBER laptops, however, lies at the massive colour selection

For the first phase, the laptop will come in 10 colours: Purple, Angel Blue, Cloud Silver, Champagne Gold, Fragrant Lilac, Matt Black, Pearl White, Princess Pink, Space Grey, and Urban Ruby.

AVITA has stated that it will be bringing in more colours throughout the year. A collaborative project consisting of designs and artworks by local artists is also in the pipeline.

The AVITA LIBER series will officially go on sale at Digital Mall in Petaling Jaya from 10 February onwards, with prices from RM1,799 to RM4,399
