Acclaimed video game developer Blizzard has announced an exciting new partnership with Facebook that'll provide gamers around the world to share their gaming experiences better

The partnership will see the game studio integrate Facebook Live into all of its games on PC, that means gamers will be able to stream games like 'Diablo' and 'Starcraft' directly on their Facebook timeline.

When this functionality is implemented, gamers will for the first time be able to livestream their Blizzard-gaming sessions directly to their Facebook timelines, and friends will be able to subscribe and be notified when new streams are available.

Alongside the streaming feature, Blizzard will also be adding Facebook Login to its PC games later this month

This will allow users to sign up for and log into games such as World of Warcraft, Heroes of the Storm, Hearthstone, Overwatch and more using their Facebook accounts.

Adding Facebook Login will pave the way for new social functionality in Blizzard games while highlighting Facebook’s capabilities as a platform for sharing, viewing, and discussing game content.

Gio Hunt, executive vice president of corporate operations at Blizzard commented that the move would provide gamers with a more wholesome experience

Blizzard games are best when played with friends, so it’s important to us to provide our players with features and services that make it easy and fun to share their experiences with each other. We’re working closely with Facebook on this integration for Overwatch, as well as our other games, and we look forward to sharing further details on our plans as development progresses,” said Hunt.

In May 2016, Blizzard's parent company Activision announced a similar feature for its gaming platform MLG.tv

Activision plans to publish live content daily - match highlights, statistics, expert commentary and player interviews - on its Facebook page for Major League Gaming (MLG).
