Facebook and Instagram, the two social media giants from Meta, are currently down for thousands of users across the world
A check by SAYS on outage tracking website Downdetector.com showed that there were more than 500,000 reports of outages for Facebook and over 70,000 reports for Instagram, as of midnight, 6 March.
The website tracks outages by collating status reports from several sources, including users.
As per the website, the two social media sites and their respective apps have been down since 11.30pm local time.
