Ever found yourself constantly checking your Instagram for DMs and notifications, to a point where you're too distracted to do anything else?

Instagram's 'Quiet Mode' could be just what you're looking for.

According to Meta, Instagram is rolling out a new feature to help people 'focus and to encourage them to set boundaries with their friends and followers.'

When you turn this feature on, you'll disable all notifications coming from Instagram. Your profile activity status will also change to let people know you're in 'Quiet Mode.'

The highlight of the feature is that it sends automated replies to let people know you need some time off

So even if you don't reply right away, your followers will understand that you're taking some time for yourself.

These automated replies are set by Instagram and not customisable.

You can also set how long you want 'Quite Mode' to be on

You can customise the timing according to your schedule. And once you turn it off, the app will show you a quick summary of all the notifications you missed while you were away.

The feature is currently only available in the US, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

There's no news of when the feature will be available in Malaysia yet, but Instagram hopes to bring it to more countries soon

In the meantime, WhatsApp is working on a feature that will allow you to send uncompressed images:
