Reddit is reportedly in a USD60 million (approximately RM287 million) deal with a major AI firm to use its data for AI training

According to Mashable, Reddit's move comes ahead of its potential USD5 billion IPO.

While the move could fuel AI innovation for the platform, dubbed the 'front page of the internet', it has also sparked a debate over the ethics of using public data.

The deal, however, is yet to be confirmed by Reddit

The deal comes amidst user unrest over recent changes including API access charges and ad personalisation.

Reddit's evolution continues to be contentious.
