REV Asia And Media Prima Labs Launch 8coin, A New App To Earn Money And Other Rewards
Media Prima Labs and digital group REV Asia have launched a revamped reward website and a mobile app last week, allowing users to earn money and other rewards simply by sharing content on social media
8coin is a private rewards club for social media users who enjoy getting free merchandise, earning extra cash, and being the first to introduce something new to their family and friends.
It serves as a platform for users to obtain rewards by sharing interesting content on their social media. It also serves as a platform for marketers to engage 8coin users as social advocates to promote their brands on social media.
8coin was previously known as 8Share.
8coin currently has a community consisting of over 770,000 social media users across Malaysia
There is also "Specials" section that hosts sponsored contents, which spans across latest movies, games, events, products, and contests. 8coin users who share 8coin’s “Specials” on their social networks will be rewarded for every unique visit they received. Since 2010, the community has cashed out a total of over RM8 million.
In this revamped 8coin mobile application and website, users are allowed to choose between cashing out and redeeming attractive merchandises with their earned 8coins
"8coin is developed as an integrated reward platform for Media Prima to ensure that all platforms are able to access the 8coin community. We truly hope that this will be able to strengthen the engagement between us and the 8coin users," said Mr Rafiq Razali, Chief Executive Officer of Media Prima Digital.
Voon Tze Khay, Managing Director of REV Asia also added, "We are proud to be launching 8coin, the first integrated rewards platform between REV Asia and Media Prima, which aims to bridge the gap between traditional and digital media. 8coin’s objective is to give our users a much enhanced social sharing experience and limitless cash and rewards programme. We also hope to be able to gamify traditional media in Malaysia with the launch of this app.”
