WhatsApp is working on a new file-sharing feature
The new feature was found by WABetaInfo in the beta version (2.24.2.20) of the Meta-owned messaging platform on Android.
The new file-sharing feature allows users to share files with nearby devices
However, it remains unclear whether this feature will require Bluetooth to transfer files.
This new feature will maintain WhatsApp's end-to-end encryption
This feature will ensure that files are secured at all times. For example, it will only display the usernames of both the file's sender and recipient while hiding other details.
It will be some time before WhatsApp's file-sharing feature is available to its users
As mentioned earlier, WhatsApp is still working on the new file-sharing feature. Developing and testing this feature will take some time to ensure its proficiency.
WhatsApp is expected to announce its release date soon.
