According to Speedtest, Malaysia's Speedtest Awards measured over 12 million speedtests in Malaysia in the second half of 2018.

For a standardised comparison, the fixed broadband report used a Speed Score to rank the performance of all operators - 90% of the Speed Score is attributed to downloads and 10% is attributed to uploads.

TIME took the top spot with a Speed Score of 114.02, download speeds of 266.4Mbps, and upload speeds of 286.72Mbps

In comparison, TM and Maxis achieved less than half of TIME's download and upload speeds.

In terms of latency, TIME was the only provider that has a single digit ping in the report, with an average of 9ms.

According to its website, TIME's speed is attributed to the fact that the service provider operates on a 100% fibre network with no copper in between

TIME upgraded all of their customers to new and faster plans last September, with the lowest plan of 100Mbps offered at RM99 per month.
