PSA: No More Free Touch 'N Go RFID Tags From 15 February
The tags will be priced at RM35 each.
If you've been procrastinating on getting your car fitted with the Touch 'n Go radio frequency identification system (RFID) tag, then you better hurry up
Drivers have a few days left to get the RFID Tag for free at fitment centres nationwide, as Touch 'n Go (TnG) brings an end to the year-and-a-half-long pilot programme.
Beginning 15 February, TnG will begin selling the RFID Tags at RM35 each
The tags can be bought at any of the TnG RFID fitment centres nationwide.
Each tag includes first time replacement on the same vehicle with no time period attached.
KLGadgetGuy noted that the price of the self-fitment tags is four times cheaper than a SmartTAG.
Additionally, all highways nationwide will support RFID technology from 1 April
"We have invested one million TnG RFID Tags for Malaysians to experience this technology during our public pilot programme these past 18 months.
"Now it is time for us to move forward and continue to expand the use of RFID technology together with our partners across the mobility ecosystem. This includes fuelling, parking, retail drive-throughs," said chief executive officer Syahrunizam Samsuddin, reported SoyaCincau.
If you haven't signed up for the RFID tag, you can do so by heading to the nearest TnG RFID walk-in booth to register
