Someone call the fire department because this burn is getting out of control.

Samsung has fired shots at its arch-rival Apple with a recent advertisement and boy, it's absolutely savage.

The ad, titled 'Growing Up', pokes fun at the iPhone's shortcomings over the years. It doesn't stop there - an Apple fanboy's loyalty and devotion to the brand is also questioned and challenged.

The ad has gone viral on social media channels. In just two days, it has received over 5 million views on YouTube.

The ad takes us back to 2007 as we witness our protagonist buying his first iPhone

He joins in the horde of fans lining outside an Apple Store and walks out enthusiastically with a brand new iPhone in hand.

We next see him in 2010 as he runs of storage space when trying to snap a photo.

"That's a big phone," as he utters those words in despair.

In 2016, he falls into a lake with the girl. Both emerge from the water, but only the Samsung phone survives while the iPhone gets thrown into a bowl of rice

2017 touches on Apple's controversial decision to ditch the headphone jack with the iPhone 7 models

The general theme of the ad is that Samsung is always a step ahead of Apple in terms of hardware, something Android fans will be quick to point out in any comment section on any website in the entire world.

Our guy eventually switches to Samsung and as he walks past a group of Apple fans lining up for the iPhone X, he notices a man with haircut that mimics the "notch" at the top of the smartphone's screen

The "notch" on the new iPhone makes room for cameras, speakers, and Face ID sensors. But some flagship phones from its rivals don't seem to need one and boast "infinity" screens instead.

Unsurprisingly, Samsung left out the global recall of its Galaxy Note 7 after reports of the device blowing up in flames emerged
