Single Instagram photo posts are about to be a thing of the past, because a new feature is here to change up how you upload content to the popular photo-sharing app

The Facebook-owned app said yesterday that it has rolled out a new feature called "Slideshow" that will allow users to upload and post up to 10 photos and videos in a single post.

Previously, photo and video carousels were only available to advertisers, but now they're coming to everyone.

Uploading an album works pretty much the same way as any other photo or video post, only now you can select multiple photos and videos by tapping a new "select multiple" icon from the upload screen

As always, you can add filters or edit the photos to make them more attractive.

The post will essentially work like a slideshow and blue dots will be displayed along the bottom to let your followers swipe through the post when they see it in their feed

Just like stand-alone videos, each slideshow video can be up to one minute long.

This multiple photo feature is not Instagram's first attempt to give users more freedom around sharing. Last August, it cloned one of Snapchat's most popular features and called it Instagram Stories.

The feature is being rolled out in stages to users worldwide and you should be getting it pretty soon!

For more information on the feature, head over to Instagram's official blog here.
