This 7-Year-Old Malaysian Baker Is Making A Special Appearance On 'Cake Boss'
The spunky 7-year-old has been baking cupcakes since she was four.
Late last year, little Chef Leah Choy's dream came true when she got to meet her idol Buddy Valastro. Not only that, the celebrity baker actually offered her a spot on his TV show 'Cake Boss'!
Leah has been baking cupcakes since she was four and a half to raise funds for her younger sister Adele, who suffers from brain injury.
Through her Facebook "shop" Chef Leah with a Big Heart, the little cake boss has baked and decorated over 13,500 cupcakes and raised close to RM40,000 for her sister's treatment programme in Philadelphia.
Leah has also contributed to the Food Aid Foundation, having raised RM700 for the food bank's pledge to Rohingya refugees simply because she "wanted to help". Her generosity and sincerity also earned her a Tunku Bainun Young Changemakers award in 2015.
Fast forward a few months, looks like Leah has landed in the US to film her segment for the upcoming season of the popular reality TV show with the Cake Boss himself
With some help from the friendly cast and crew, Leah made a cake inspired by her sister's first poem book, 'Pebbles of My Life'
Besides getting to design and having her cake immortalised in the show, Leah also got to get up close and personal with some of the people behind Carlo's Bake Shop
Leah's parents and of course, her sister Adele also joined in the action
Valastro also posted a photo (below) on his Facebook page, captioned, "Always love the chance to spend time with @chefleahwithabigheart her story moves me so much and she works so hard to make a difference."
