Malaysians React To Taylor Swift Performing In Singapore For 3 Days & None In Malaysia
'Cause Taylor, now we got bad blood.
Just a few hours ago on Tuesday, 20 June, Grammy-award winning pop star Taylor Swift released international performance dates for her 2023 and 2024 tour titled The Eras Tour
Having begun the tour a few months ago on 17 March in Glendale, Arizona, the artiste has just added international dates to her concert in places all over the world, including Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Australia, and Portugal.
As for the Asian nations, only two countries were added to the performer's tour, Japan and Singapore. The tour is set to officially conclude by 17 August in London, England.
Unfortunately for all Malaysian Swifties, The Eras Tour does not include any locations in Malaysia. Furthermore, Swift's release of concert dates also reveal that she will be performing in Singapore for a whopping three days, on 2, 3, and 4 March 2024.
Many Malaysians did not take the announcement well, with a bunch of people expressing their take on social media about Malaysia not being included in the tour
The vast majority of commenters couldn't help but draw comparisons between Swift's concert to that of Coldplay's, with the British band having six days worth of performances in Singapore, while maintaining just one date in Malaysia.
"Six days for Coldplay, three days for Taylor Swift. Malaysia could never," wrote one user.
On the other hand, some Malaysians expressed how disheartening it was that Swift was skipping Malaysia for The Eras Tour
Nevertheless, there were also multiple people who took the opportunity to land some light-hearted banter about Malaysia being excluded from Swift's tour
As of now, keep your fingers crossed that Miss Swift adds a date or two for us, Malaysians :')
