A 63-year-old retiree from Negeri Sembilan won RM64.6 million from the Supreme Toto 6/58 Jackpot on Sunday, 5 May, after buying the same set of numbers for 20 years

According to the New Straits Times, the punter's winning numbers were 11, 19, 22, 23, 36, and 39.

Besides winning the colossal sum of RM64,623,697.40, the man also won a fourth prize from a separate bet, bringing home another RM8.

Speaking about his win, he told STM Lottery Sdn Bhd that staying "loyal" to the same numbers for two decades was not easy.

"These numbers are indeed special to me and I do not intend to tell anyone why. I do not even tell my wife why I keep betting on this set of numbers.

"Many called me silly for being loyal to these numbers. They should see where I am now," he said in jest.

The man admitted that he had spent a considerable amount of money betting over the years but "the anticipation and the excitement [of winning] was simply worth the wait"

"When I saw the numbers appearing on the Toto app last night, I tasted a victory I had never experienced before. My wife and I were so happy that we could not sleep at all," he related.

The retiree said he would use the prize money to pay off his debts before considering how to spend the remainder.

In a statement, STM Lottery also mentioned that one punter from Selangor and two from East Malaysia won a share of RM10.87 million from the Toto 4D Jackpot 1 on 28 April.

The winner from Selangor took home RM181,220.90, while the two winners from Sarawak and Sabah won RM5,346,016.45 each.
