Dad Buys Winning RM28 Million Jackpot Ticket While Shopping With Daughter On Father's Day
After buying shoes for his daughter, he was greeted by several lottery store employees who recognised him as a regular customer.
A man in Raub, Pahang recently had a memorable Father's Day after winning RM28.9 million in a Magnum 4D lottery
According to Free Malaysia Today, before purchasing the winning ticket, the man was busy buying new shoes for his daughter at a store next to a Magnum 4D outlet.
After leaving the shoe store, he was greeted by lottery store employees who recognised him as a regular customer.
"I'm a familiar face to them, so it was nice that they took the effort to acknowledge me. One of them encouraged me to purchase the Magnum 4D 'Jackpot Lucky Pick' ticket displayed at the counter," he said in a statement.
"I've always had my own preferred numbers when purchasing lottery tickets, but since it was Father's Day, and I was feeling a bit happy from the day's celebration, I decided to try my luck," he added.
Locals soon discovered that someone from Raub had won the jackpot, but the man was completely unaware that he was the lucky winner
"My wife had a hunch that it could be my lucky pick ticket. She decided to cross-check the numbers on the Magnum 4D website, and true enough, I was the lucky winner," he said.
Shocked by the discovery, the father immediately went to the same outlet where he purchased the ticket to confirm that he had won the prize.
He also thanked the workers at the outlet for greeting him and encouraging him to take a punt on that special Father's Day.
