How Did AirAsia’s Cabin Crew Become Asia’s Best?
Every guest is special, and they go the extra mile for their special guests.
Sometimes good service is hard to come by, but then there are some who go the extra mile. The AirAsia cabin crew definitely comes to mind.
Their efforts certainly didn't go unrecognised because AirAsia has been awarded "Asia's Leading Cabin Crew", and is the first low-cost carrier (LCC) to have won that prestigious award!
AirAsia was given the award at the recent World Travel Awards (Asia and Australasia) Gala 2015. Tony Fernandes, Group CEO of AirAsia expressed his pride in the team, "I am very proud of what our team of cabin crew has achieved. Today is an example of what pushing the boundaries mean we are not just a low-cost airline, but an airline that provides high value".
He continued on saying that service excellence has always been AirAsia's focus, and by winning this award, they are moving in the right direction. "We would like to thank everyone who has voted for us, and a big congratulations to my cabin crew team. Let's continue to give our best to all of our guests," he added.
What contributed to their win? We take a look at the reasons why they were voted as Asia's leading cabin crew:
It's no wonder they have a Fun Team onboard! They sing, dance, tell jokes, and entertain guests onboard during flights or special occasions
Yeah, fo real. The Fun Team's job is made up of cabin crew who are talented in singing and entertaining, to keep guests happy! Even if they’re a regular cabin crew, they’re known for their fun, friendly, and helpful spirit, with smiles on their faces and always ready to help.
Fun stuff aside, they take safety very seriously
They're experienced in safety procedures after thorough training that equips them with vital skills such as first aid. They have also gone through emergency practical and drills, which include CPR, swimming and fire drills.
They're also meticulous in behind the scenes preparations to ensure every inch of the plane is spotless and immaculate
Cabin crew members are knowledgeable and skillful in grooming after given classes and make over sessions during training
Hence, the crew can always look their best, feel their best, and show their best
Each cabin crew member has to go through in-depth and comprehensive training so that they're polished to their very best
In the words of Tony Fernandes, "low-cost doesn't mean compromise on quality."
Most important of all, they take pride in their job and always put their passengers' needs first
Congratulations again to the AirAsia cabin crew for the award! And thank you for your hard work, dedication and phenomenal service. :)
