Since its opening, this white-walled restaurant took off in no time, attracting brunch lovers from all over to the hustle bustle of Damansara Jaya. "Pankek" - pandan pancakes served with caramelised bananas and topped with coconut shavings and gula Melaka - has captured the hearts of many, and will probably get yours too. Prefer savoury breakfasts? Go for the scrambled eggs with bacon and toast.

Battery Acid Club is a cafe that’s not just a cafe, but a place where designers can network, be inspired and buy ‘designery’ stuff. The cafe also observes a no Wi-Fi policy as they want to promote conversation in such a way that bonds can be deepened and ideas can be bounced around.

Doubling up as a wedding photography studio and hair salon by day, Otherwise Cafe is mostly furnished by local furniture company Dumpwerk and even supports local talents by providing a performance space for live music events. You wouldn’t go wrong with any of their espresso and milk combination retailing at bona fide RM10 a cup. Bandits also offer an array of filling pastries and we can only hope for the best where no arthropod has landed on them since they are left in the open.
