In order to enhance and facilitate the KADS1M Debit card collection process, Bank Rakyat has decided to extend operating hours in all its branches for a limited time.

This will begin from 15 May until 27 May.

Bank Rakyat branches in all states, except for Kelantan and Terengganu, will begin operating from 5:30am until 8.30pm (from Monday until Friday) and 9:00am until 3:00pm (Saturday).

As for Kelantan and Terengganu, working hours during this period will be from 5:30am to 8.30pm (from Sunday until Thursday) and 9:00am until 3:00pm (Saturday).

Students who have received an email from Bank Rakyat may proceed with their collection. To ensure that the collection will be a smooth process, remember to bring the following items:

For students above 18 years old:
1. MyKad (original and 1 copy)
2. Student card (original and 1 copy)

For students below 18 years old:
1. MyKad (original and 1 copy)
2. Student card (original and 1 copy)
3. A letter of authorisation from parents/guardian
4. Parent's/guardian's MyKad (1 copy)
3. Birth certificate/adoption certificate (original and 1 copy)

Many students have yet to collect their cards even when an email notification has been sent by Bank Rakyat

According to a statement by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), an email has been sent to 498,040 students to notify them that their card is ready for collection but only 92,460 students have gone to collect their respective Debit card.

MOHE said that the process of matching and payment will be made on an ongoing basis and is expected to be completed in early June.

Students who are unsure if their KADS1M Debit card is ready for collection may call up the Bank Rakyat hotline number at 1-300-80-5454 anytime from 7.45am to 9.30pm on Mondays to Fridays to check.
