PDRM today raided Bersih 2.0's Petaling Jaya office ahead of the electoral reform group's planned rally on Saturday.

It is believed the action was taken purportedly under a law prohibiting acts undermining parliamentary democracy.

According to Bersih 2.0 Secretariat Member Mandeep Singh, who tweeted about the police raid, PDRM wanted to confiscate all of the group's belongings.

Section 124C relates to attempts to carry out activities detrimental to parliamentary democracy. Bersih is holding the rally on Saturday which among others demands the resignation of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

According to Malaysiakini which spoke to Bersih 2.0's Mandeep Singh, there are some 10 policemen at their office

However, while Bersih's lawyers are trying to handle the matter, a Tweet from the official account of Bersih 2.0 claims that cops are stopping the lawyers from going inside.

This is a breaking news story. More to follow.
