Singaporeans Lined Up Overnight To Get A Raffle Ticket For The LV x Supreme Launch
So much hype.
How long are you willing to queue for some limited edition fashion swag?
Hundreds of Singaporeans sacrificed their sleep on Wednesday, 12 July just for a chance to purchase something from the highly coveted Louis Vuitton x Supreme collaboration today, 14 July.
Let's be clear - they weren't even lining up to BUY stuff.
They needed to get hold of ballot numbers - auto-generated at random by Louis Vuitton staff on an iPad - which fall between 1 and 350, so that they would be eligible for a raffle ticket to the launch.
This means that those who are unlucky enough to get a number outside of that number range.
Unfortunately, that was the case for a 17-year-old teen who had high hopes in buying some LV x Supreme gear
Muhammad Syahir Mohamad Tahir was the first in line. He had been queueing since 6pm on Wednesday.
Sadly, the streetwear gods weren't on his side. According to The Straits Times, the 17-year-old's raffle ticket number turned out to be 630 and he walked away disappointed.
With such high demand for these raffle tickets, we're not surprised to see people trying to resell them online
Even though LV declined to reveal any prices, we reckon you would need a pretty fat bank account to splurge on the items
The picture above shows full-time NS trainee Bryan Wong, 23, who bought five items worth SGD6,100 (RM19,058) today.
Crazy prices but it's Louis Vuitton we're talking about here, after all.
