A woman ingeniously hired a crane to lift her four storeys high into her apartment after she was locked out of home

The woman, Tammy Ng, who is from Gombak, Selangor, posted a video of the crane giving her a lift on Facebook.

Ng told The Straits Times that she was locked out because the electronic lock on her apartment door had malfunctioned, and the master key was inside the apartment.

Initially, she contemplated engaging a locksmith, but was told that they would have to break down the door

The 40-year-old getai artist shared that breaking the door would have cost her about RM800.

She added that it would cost roughly another RM3,000 to replace the broken door and electronic lock.

While deciding what to do, Ng said she found inspiration when she saw workers on a crane trimming trees along a road near her home

"The crane rental costs RM500, which I thought was very affordable," she told The Straits Times.

The video shows Ng standing on a crane as it slowly lifts her up to her balcony, where she then carefully climbs over the railing and enters her home through the balcony's unlocked doors.

The four-minute video has garnered over 130,000 views and 3,000 likes from netizens, praising Ng for her ingenious and cost effective, but maybe a little dangerous, solution.
