It even has the "notch".

Apple might say the iPhone X represents the future of smartphones, but the phone's hefty price tag is an expensive pill for your wallet to swallow

The retail price for the iPhone X is RM5,149 for the 64GB model and a whopping RM5,899 for the 256GB model.

Not everyone can fork out five grand for a phone - which was probably the reason why this Chinese brand made a device that's so similar to the iPhone X, but for only a fraction of the price

Leagoo, a small smartphone company based in Shenzen, has recently unveiled the S9, which looks remarkably similar to the iPhone X.

The Android-based device has the edge-to-edge display, trademark "notch", glass and aluminium casing, and the same vertically-aligned camera module. It has a fingerprint sensor too!

While the new phone may look like an iPhone X on the outside, don't expect the internal specs to match Apple's top-of-the-line model

The S9 sports a 5.85-inch AMOLED display, MediaTek’s mid-range P40 processor, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a pair of 16-megapixel cameras.

For comparison, the iPhone X features a 5.8-inch OLED screen, A11 Bionic processor, 64GB or 128GB of storage, 3GB of RAM, and two 12-megapixel telephoto cameras.

Most importantly, the S9 comes in at USD300 (RM1,225), significantly less than the iPhone X's price. The S9 is only available in China for now.
