Film lovers, get ready! The Malaysian International Film Festival (MIFFest) is back for its sixth edition, with 'New Take' as its theme this year
The week-long festival will be held at Lalaport BBCC from 23 to 29 July, ending with an award gala, the Malaysia Golden Global Awards (MGGA) on 29 July at Zepp KL.
This year's MIFFest is a special one, as it is the event's first collaboration with BMW Shorties, set up by BMW Group Malaysia to discover and support emerging local talents in film and digital content in the country. BMW Shorties is a renowned short film competition in Malaysia, and will be partnering with MIFFest for a short film and digital content competition this year as part of the programme.
Joining MIFFest once again this year is the Far East Film Festival (FEFF) from Udine, Italy. MIFFest and FEFF hope that the festival will continue to bring the magic of international cinema into Malaysia, and the magic of Malaysian cinema to the world.
