Some of the best scenes from horror movies are made from special effects that take a short snippet and blast it into outer space.

But certain times, just a classically filmed jump scare can take a movie scene from basic to epic in just a few seconds.

This was the case in a recent TikTok that showed just how powerful one Asian horror film really was.

Indonesia actor Dimas Eka Maulana shared a behind-the-scenes snippet from the horror film Waktu Maghrib (2023), which took place in a classroom.

In the scene, Indonesian actress Nafiza Fatia Rani, who plays the lead role in the film, can be seen sitting next to another actress, who plays her classmate. The director slowly pans the camera across the room. Rani herself looks away momentarily to check as though someone was sitting behind her.

Tilting the camera just slightly, the classmate can be seen quickly moving out of the shot before an evil-looking entity replaces her. Turning her head back, with the camera moving back into shot too, Rani screams and wails in horror after seeing the spirit, who comes close to her face.

Shattering the glass-ceiling on TikTok, the clip has garnered over 80 million views since being posted just five days ago

Many of the comments praised the actress for doing a very good job in the scene, with some saying that she absolutely nailed the scream.

"The crying after her scream sounded so real, I almost joined in!" wrote one user.

Others also mentioned that her acting was so good that some of the other actors in the background who played students also looked scared and shook during the scene.

However, others also pointed out how unbothered some of them looked too, especially the actor who can be seen spinning his pen as the scene was shot.

"The guy who is playing with his pen is just straight relaxing," said another user.

Some even joked about how the 'ghost' had probably lost their hearing from the girl's scream.
