Malaysian Model Shikin Gomez Struts The Runway For Dior Fall 2023 Fashion Show In Mumbai
The show was conducted below the magnificent Gateway of India.

Yesterday, 30 March, the highly-anticipated Dior Fall 2023 fashion show by the Creative Director of Dior Womenswear, Maria Grazia Chiuri, made its runway debut
Described as a show that stepped inside Chiuri's world, the designer set her sights to conduct the show in Mumbai, India, specifically under the magnificent Gateway of India, an arch-monument built in the early 20th century.
With the goal to bridge the gap between different domains, Chiuri had chosen Mumbai as a tribute to the visionary spirit of Christian Dior and his successors in a celebration of Indian savoir-faire unlike any other.
Multiple global stars were in attendance for the show who wore items from the collection itself, including Bridgerton star Simone Ashley, Never Have I Ever's Poorna Jagannathan, and Grown-ish actress Yara Shahidi.

In a video presentation of the entire runway show which has since been uploaded to Christian Dior's official YouTube page, Malaysian model Shikin Gomez was spotted strutting the catwalk as one of the subjects displaying the pieces.
Decked out in a white tunic with pearls draped around her neck, Gomez was seen in an elaborately patterned coat and pants combination.
Stunning and elegant, the model's poised disposition and clear comfort on the stage made her a standout. Gomez also reappeared during the final walk of the show, where every design was showcased altogether before Chiuri came out to give her closing bow.
Nevertheless, fans of the long-time model may be familiar with her other global works that have made her a significant name in the modelling industry for years
Having walked for numerous shows in Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week (KLFW) for years past, others may know Gomez from her appearance as a contestant on Asia's Next Top Model Season 5 back in 2017, where she tied for runner-up.
After the runway show, Gomez took to her Instagram Story to express how grateful she was to be included in Dior's Fall 2023 show in Mumbai, saying that the city has a special place in her heart.
"Honestly lost for words for this Dior pre-fall 2023 show. Feels like a full circle moment to be in Mumbai, since Mumbai was the first city I was placed in after AsNTM (Asia's Next Top Model). For it to be here, for me to represent my country and everyone [who] looks like me. I feel humbled, proud, and [ecstatic] to be a part of history," the model wrote.
Gomez also shared a video posted to Chiuri's Instagram page of all 99 models who walked the show, backstage, cheering after its conclusion.
