Singer-songwriter Dhruv has just announced that he will be heading to Kuala Lumpur for a listening party this month

To promote his upcoming album, Private Blizzard, the British-born artiste will be holding a series of listening events throughout August in several major cities across Southeast Asia. These include Mumbai, India; Jakarta, Indonesia; Bangkok, Thailand; Manila, Philippines; Singapore; and KL, Malaysia.

In addition to the listening events, the indie artiste will also host pop-up shows in Mumbai and KL.

The KL show is scheduled for 17 August, with details on ticket prices and the venue yet to be announced.

Dhruv explained that he decided to organise the listening parties because he grew up in Singapore and knows how frustrating it can be when artistes skip the region

Last year, the R&B singer was scheduled to perform at Good Vibes Festival in KL but was unable to enter the country due to circumstances beyond his control.

In a message posted on his Instagram Stories, he expressed his disappointment, saying, "We've been inside KL airport for the last 14 hours, hoping for a better outcome. Unfortunately, I'm unable to enter the country. I am so sorry to anyone who got a ticket to see me play. I'm devastated but I will make it my number one priority to come back here."

The festival itself was ultimately cancelled after its first day, following a controversial performance by The 1975.

Dhruv gained massive popularity with his single Double Take which, despite being released in 2019, became a viral sensation on TikTok in 2021

This catchy track about falling in love with a best friend topped charts in several Asian countries, including the Philippines and Thailand.

Since then, he has released his first studio album, rapunzel, making it his first number one album in several Southeast Asian countries.

His upcoming album, Private Blizzard, is set to launch on 23 August.

Sony Music Malaysia is also offering a chance to meet Dhruv in-person and join his listening party. Find out more below:

In the meantime, stay tuned to his social media pages for more updates on ticket details.
