[VIDEO] Jackson Wang Goes Viral For Professing His Love For Village Park & Aftermeal
Anyone who hangs out at Uptown, PJ, knows how great these two places are.
In a recent interview, K-pop superstar Jackson Wang named Village Park Restaurant and Aftermeal Desserts as two of his favourite local restaurants
The 30-year-old Hong Kong singer is currently in Malaysia, and having been here for about two weeks, has been spotted in various spots around KL and PJ.
Speaking to fashion magazine Grazia Malaysia in a TikTok video published yesterday, 24 July, Wang shared how much he enjoyed eating at the two restaurants.
"I went to Village Park... It's crazy!
"And the dessert place that I really have to recommend... it's crazy... the shaved ice [at] Aftermeal Desserts...," he said, struggling to find words to describe his love for the offerings there.
Wang even recommended the dessert shop's latest menu item, Thai milk tea-flavoured shaved ice, sincerely pleading with people to try it.
When the reporter joked that Wang should be the restaurants' ambassador, the singer quickly dismissed the idea, saying he was recommending them as a food lover
"Don't need, don't need [to make me their ambassador].
"It's coming from humans. Not everything is business," he said.
Wang's profession of love for Aftermeal Desserts caught the brand's attention, prompting them to post the clip on their social media accounts
"The amazing Jackson Wang just recommended Aftermeal Desserts in his latest interview!
"Thank you, Jackson, for recommending our fluffy snow ice!" wrote the brand on Instagram.
Last week, Wang was seen working out at a gym in The Starling, PJ, and he also attended a Louis Vuitton event at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
In the same interview, the singer lauded the restaurants in The Starling for serving great food and the people in the mall for being friendly.
In the comments section of the interview video, many netizens suggested other places for Wang to dine
"Come to Jalan Alor [in KL. You can still find food at 5am]," wrote a TikTok user.
"You should go Nasi Lemak Burung Hantu," added another person, recommending another popular nasi lemak place in the Klang Valley.
One netizen said Wang should try ayam gepuk in Malaysia.
