Tencent is looking to bring the award-winning video game Elden Ring to smartphones

According to Reuters, the critically acclaimed game by From Software might be a free-to-play mobile app.

The mobile version will purportedly feature in-app purchases and join other AAA games like Call of Duty: Mobile and PUBG Mobile on Tencent's platform

However, Tencent has faced difficulties in the mobile gaming market, shutting down Apex Legends Mobile and cancelling an unannounced Nier mobile game.

Elden Ring fans have also expressed concern that the game's complex single-player mechanics will be difficult to port to mobile devices.
