After multiple complications and a postponement, Justin Bieber has indefinitely suspended the rest of his Justice World Tour

A few hours ago, on 6 September (American time), Justin Bieber took to his Instagram page and released a post on his decision to step away from the tour and prioritise his health and well-being

The tour, which was supposed to carry through until March 2023, has now been halted due to the toll it has taken on him.

Opening his caption, Bieber wrote, "Earlier this year, I went public about my battle with Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome, where my face was partly paralysed. As a result of this illness, I was not table to complete the North America leg of the Justice tour."

Continuing on, the artist poured out the progress he made on his latest shows in Brazil. "After resting and consulting with my doctors, family, and team, I went to Europe in an effort to continue with the tour. I performed six shows, but it took a real toll on me. This past weekend, I performed at Rock in Rio and I gave everything I have to the people in Brazil."

"After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me and I realised that I need to make my health the priority right now"

While there was no direct or clear cancellation of the entirety of his tour, Bieber continued on by saying that he will be taking a break from touring for the time being. "I'm going to be ok, but I need time to rest and get better."

Closing out his caption, Justin thanked all his fans for their prayers and expressed how he felt about the tour. "I've been so proud to bring this show and our message of Justice to the world. Thank you for your prayers and support throughout all of this! I love you all passionately!"

Following the announcement, PR Worldwide explained that the Asia part of Bieber's tour is set to continue despite his post

The post read, "We are aware that Justin Bieber has decided to take a break from touring and wish Justin a speedy recovery and admire his decision to put his health first. We can't wait to see him back on the road."

"Our understanding is the Asia leg of the tour is set to continue as scheduled. Please stay tuned to AEG Presents Asia for any updates of the Justice World Tour Asia Leg."

With support pouring in from all around the world, fans and celebrities alike reached out to uplift Bieber in this trying time

Among them also included his wife, Hailey Bieber.

Earlier this year, Bieber opened up about being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a virus that caused the singer to experience facial paralysis

In a video posted to Instagram on 10 July, Bieber explained his health status. "Hey everyone, Justin here. I wanted to update you guys on what's been going on. Obviously, as you can probably see from my face, I have this syndrome called Ramsay Hunt syndrome, and it is this virus that attacks the nerve in my ear and my facial nerves and has caused my face to have paralysis."

Bieber demonstrated that his right eye could not blink, and he was unable to smile on the right side of his face.

"This is pretty serious as you can see. I wish this wasn't the case but obviously, my body is telling me I got to slow down and I hope you guys understand and I'll be using this time to rest and relax and get back to 100% so that I can do what I was born to do."

Here's to wishing the Biebs a speedy recovery. Rest well, Justin!
