An American publication known as Town & Country Magazine recently published an article titled 'The Year of Michelle Yeoh' — and boy were they right
After garnering recent press in the media by being the first Asian woman to receive an honorary doctorate by the American Film Institute (AFI), Michelle Yeoh has made her way back into the spotlight in no time!
"She's been a beauty queen and an action hero, but now with the awards buzz of Everything Everywhere All at Once and that Avatar sequel on the horizon, Michelle Yeoh finds herself at the zenith of the Hollywood firmament. It's no surprise if you've been paying attention," read the opening paragraph of the article.
For the piece, the magazine featured Yeoh on the cover of their September 2022 issue.
Discussing her career and achievements thus far, the interview touched on every aspect of Yeoh's enriching life, and what it means to have one worth living
From her humble beginnings in Ipoh, to her lavish career in Hollywood, Yeoh also included some fun and humorous stories from her youth. After winning the title of Miss World Malaysia in 1983, the interviewer cheekily asked her certain questions about her family life.
"When asked if her mother takes credit for her career, Yeoh says, 'All the time!' She always tells me, 'It's me, I created her, I gave her this,' and I'm like, 'Yes, Mum'," said Yeoh in the interview.
Yet, the most mesmerising part of the interview was her feature in an ensemble of lavish outfits and glimmering embellishments
From Dior to Oscar de la Renta, and even Valentino and Giambattista Valli items, the most alluring part of the entire piece had to be the glamorous garments Yeoh rocked for the magazine feature.
