Michael Learns To Rock Shares Sweet Message About 1st Asia Concert In M'sia 30 Years Ago
Cue happy tears! T_T
If you're a fan of timeless hits like Take Me to Your Heart and Paint My Love, get ready for a dose of nostalgia! Danish soft rock band Michael Learns To Rock (MLTR) just melted Malaysian hearts with a throwback that has all of us reminiscing.
The band took to social media to share a heartwarming message about the first concert they ever performed in Asia — and it happened right here in Malaysia, 30 years ago!
Yep, long before streaming, TikTok dances, or even MP3 players, MLTR was serenading fans, and it all began in our very own backyard.
Their heartfelt post read, "Exactly 30 years ago, we played our first concert in Asia. At THIS very location in KL. It was just a small gig in front of 300 people, but the crowd blew our minds... That night marked the beginning of our long fairytale-like journey here in SEA. If someone had told us back then that we'd be back in 30 years, playing in one of KL's biggest venues, we wouldn't have believed it.
"So a BIG hug from MLTR for staying with us since that first night."
Along with the post, guitarist Mikkel Lentz shared a nostalgic snap of the Hard Rock Cafe in KL — the iconic venue where it all began
This sweet trip down memory lane comes as the band made their much-anticipated return to Malaysia, performing at the Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting, on Sunday, 10 November.
