Ukrainian actress Tatiana Lin has claimed that she was stopped by the immigration staff at a Malaysian airport on Valentine's Day, 14 February, for looking different from her passport photo

The 24-year-old is based in Taiwan for her acting and modelling career, and is currently dating Malaysian actor Hero Tai.

According to entertainment news portal In News, Lin was flying from Thailand to Malaysia on Tuesday.

While at the local airport, she said the immigration staff refused to let her pass, saying, "I look different from my passport photo."

Sharing the incident in an Instagram Story, she posted a photo of herself without any makeup on and admitted that, "I, indeed, don't look the same."

Lin's awkward encounter at the airport amused her fans, and it was reported by many media outlets in Malaysia and Taiwan

Many netizens applauded her for being honest and taking the "embarrassing" situation like a good sport, while some said that there is no shame in going without any makeup on.

"Actually, there wasn't much difference. You are still beautiful," said a Facebook user.

Meanwhile, a netizen joked that the incident showed that the Immigration Department of Malaysia is working.

Lin has been dating the 36-year-old local actor since last year

Tai, whose nude pictorial went viral and reportedly sold over 5,000 copies in Taiwan, met Lin during Taiwanese talkshow WTO Sister Show.

The couple admitted that they started out as friends with benefits before turning what they had into a serious relationship, reported In News.

Lin said that she loves how Tai looks and is not shy to tell the media about their sexual lifestyle. The couple often posts travel photos of themselves in swimwear.
